Wassail Festival

The annual downtown Madison Wassail Festival is a winter tradition that takes place on the evening of the city’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Each participating business in downtown prepares a delicious wassail recipe that the public samples and then votes for their favorites. All of this excitement begins with the Madison Chamber’s Glow Stick Parade down Main Street where more than 300 participants gather to march to the Christmas tree. This is a fun community event that both children and adults look forward to each year.
